Double Mint Mojito

Double Mint Mojito

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 x Limes (about 1.5 oz of fresh lime juice)
  • 12 leaves x Cocktail Mint - Spearmint Leaves (save two as garnishes)
  • 2 oz x Mint Mahal Simple Syrup (recipe below)
  • 1 oz x Simple Syrup
  • 4 oz x White Rum (I used Bacardí Superior)
  • 12 x Ice cubes
  • 1 can of sparkling water

Process:

  1. Wash and dry mint leaves
  2. Add 10 mint leaves to cocktail shaker
  3. Slice limes in half and ream both halves of the lime into shot glass until you have 1.5oz of juice. Add lime juice to the shaker.
  4. Muddle mint leaves and lime juice in shaker until they’re all smashed and the mint leaves look wilted
  5. Add rum, mint syrup, simple syrup, and four cubes of ice to shaker
  6. Add lid to cocktail shaker and shake for 1-2 minutes
  7. Split the remaining ice cubes between the two glasses
  8. Pour cocktail through a fine strainer and distribute evenly between glasses over ice
  9. Top off each glass with sparkling water and stir with spoon
  10. Garnish with a mint leaf and enjoy!

Mint Mahal Simple Syrup Recipe:

Recipe makes ½ cup Simple Syrup

Ingredients:

Process:

  1. Bring water to a boil
  2. Take boiling water and add ½ cup to a liquid measuring cup
  3. Add in Mint Mahal and Sugar
  4. Stir with a spoon until sugar is dissolved
  5. Set a timer for 5 minutes
  6. Once timer goes off, strain mixture into a bottle or cup for later use
  7. You can save or dispose of the remaining tea (we saved it and used it in the Double Mint Mojito)
