Double Mint Mojito
Ingredients:
- 1-2 x Limes (about 1.5 oz of fresh lime juice)
- 12 leaves x Cocktail Mint - Spearmint Leaves (save two as garnishes)
- 2 oz x Mint Mahal Simple Syrup (recipe below)
- 1 oz x Simple Syrup
- 4 oz x White Rum (I used Bacardí Superior)
- 12 x Ice cubes
- 1 can of sparkling water
Process:
- Wash and dry mint leaves
- Add 10 mint leaves to cocktail shaker
- Slice limes in half and ream both halves of the lime into shot glass until you have 1.5oz of juice. Add lime juice to the shaker.
- Muddle mint leaves and lime juice in shaker until they’re all smashed and the mint leaves look wilted
- Add rum, mint syrup, simple syrup, and four cubes of ice to shaker
- Add lid to cocktail shaker and shake for 1-2 minutes
- Split the remaining ice cubes between the two glasses
- Pour cocktail through a fine strainer and distribute evenly between glasses over ice
- Top off each glass with sparkling water and stir with spoon
- Garnish with a mint leaf and enjoy!
Mint Mahal Simple Syrup Recipe:
Recipe makes ½ cup Simple Syrup
Ingredients:
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 Tablespoons of Mint Mahal Mint Chai Blend
- 1 cup Water
Process:
- Bring water to a boil
- Take boiling water and add ½ cup to a liquid measuring cup
- Add in Mint Mahal and Sugar
- Stir with a spoon until sugar is dissolved
- Set a timer for 5 minutes
- Once timer goes off, strain mixture into a bottle or cup for later use
- You can save or dispose of the remaining tea (we saved it and used it in the Double Mint Mojito)
